WANTED! GIRLFRIEND Chapter 18

Author’s Notes: this is a collab fic between ayakanishi and swimmer_chen
Summary: JUMP the most popular boy band in japan and probably even in the whole world. Girls all over the world are dying to see, touch and talk to them. Suddenly the group decided to search for the girl that they will love, but how will they find them?
note: omg, sorry this got deleted once, so it's......not as great. Yeah, and now I'm PISSED cause it erased ALL my good ideas/wordings...a FULL THREE PAGES (of word doc) >[ GAHHH
No response from any of the other seven members. They all stared at the oldest member, scared to death at the sight of an angry Yabu. None of them could remember the last time he was seriously mad.
“I ASKED YOU GUYS DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE YAMADA AND CHINEN ARE?!?!” He was certain at least one of them does, especially Yuto since they’re always together.
Timidly, Yuto raised his hand slowly, “Hi-hito-tomi Gakuen”
“OH THOSE TWO! I’M GONNA GET THEM NOW NO MATTER WHAT!”
“I’ll accompany you” Hikaru offered
Seven minutes later, Yabu stormed into Hitomi Gakuen’s 3-A classroom with Hikaru running cheerfully at his side, “YAMADA, CHINEN!!! THERE YOU ARE” Apparently the short time it took to get there didn’t calm Yabu down one bit.
Suddenly, both Yamada and Chinen’s cell phones rang. They saw that they had a text message from Yuto, “Gomen, Yabu-kun…was scary”
Since Yabu was yelling really loudly, many students at Hitomi Gakuen turned their heads toward the noise and started screaming when they saw their favorite idols running towards class 3-A. Their cries of, “Yamada and Chinen are here too?” attracted even more students to crowd around the classroom.
Since they heard Yabu, Taiyou, Shoon, and even Reon sensed trouble and they quickly scrambled to the entryway of the classroom to block the students from getting too close to the idols, “Sorry you can’t go in right now, they don’t have the time to talk to you”
"Mou~~~ then why Hideki and the others get to talk to them?!" some students complained.
Hikaru nervously chuckled, trying to make the atmosphere not be as tense, “I-I’m j-just here…t-to help Yabu-kun... d-drag them t-to the….jimu..sho” he explained to everyone.
Hikaru didn’t dare say anything else, even when Yabu considerately yelled back at him, “DON’T YOU DARE MISS THE MEETING, HIKARU” allowing him more time at the school and he dragged both Yamada and Chinen firmly on the wrists and left
Sayuri’s face lit up when Hikaru came in and she wanted to approach Hikaru to tell him why she couldn’t send the letters, but he was doing anything to prevent having to talk to Sayuri, so she decided to keep her distance and in the end didn’t talk to him.
Aya, seeing that Sayuri couldn't talk to Hikaru thought, "Go talk to him for heaven's sake!"
Then she decided to pretend she wanted to follow Yamada and Chinen, “Wait for me!” She turned back and winked at everyone, motioning for them to leave the classroom.
Rui found that Yamada and Chinen being dragged by an angry Yabu is quite entertaining so she decided to go watch, even though she pretended that all she wanted to do was to follow Aya.
“Ah Sayu-chan, I just remembered that I needed to return to my classroom to do something” Aimi lied.
“Same here… I need to return to my classroom… Rhea and I want to spend some time together…alone” Reon added and he left with Rhea.
Gisselle, Seru, and Hikari just remember then they needed to discuss something to prepare for their next class.
Not a minute too soon, Mai started to whine, “Shoon-nii, do you have candy? I want some candy!”
Shoon smiled at Mai and said, “No, but I can buy you some. Taiyou, come with me and help me choose what candy Mai deserves”
“Eh, why can’t you let her choose herself?” Taiyou hadn’t been listening; he knew he had to leave the classroom, and was trying to find the perfect excuse so he hadn't heard Mai's request.
“Well she’s been whining a lot lately, and I am afraid I might spoil her too much” Shoon replied, earning him a pout from the girl herself, “C’mon Taiyou! Just come with me! I'll even buy you some if that's what it takes” and dragged him out of the classroom with Mai happily skipping beside them. She couldn’t believe her complaint would succeed this time in getting herself some candy.
Izu, on the other hand, couldn’t get why they all left, “Eh? Why is everyone leaving? It’s still lunchtime, lunch isn’t over yet!”
“Yeah, why all the busyness when the idols are here to eat the first time?” Sayuri questioned, but without a proper response.
Aya came back into the classroom, “C’mon Izu! As far as I remember, you have something to do too right?” and dragged Izu out of the classroom outside the door before explaining quietly to her that they want Sayuri and Hikaru to have time alone.
"How did she know Izu needs to do something if awhile ago she was busy hiding Yamada-kun and Chinen-kun?" Sayuri asked in her thoughts.
With nothing else to do, Hikaru faced the door, “I guess I have to head back for that meeting” and started for the doorway, "Yabu-kun might get mad at me as well,
Before he could leave, he heard, “Hikaru-kun, chotto matte kudasai”
Hikaru stopped without turning around. He remained silent, waiting for her to continue.
"Hikaru-kun... I called you multiple times these past few days"
A pause, "I know"
"Why didn't you answer or return any of my calls?"
Hikaru paused for a moment and turned around to see Sayuri seated on the windowsill. Her short skirt exposed her long legs, one with the boot, and the sun shone on her skin, making her brown hair even lighter; her skin tanner than usual, "Are you as curious to know the answer to that question as I am of why you never wrote the letter?"
Sayuri looked down and thought, "If only you know why…I couldn’t send it"
"Sayu-chan-"
"Anou..."
"Saya-chan, whatever. I don't care what I call you anymore. I don't care for anyone who pretended to support our band. You know how much JUMP would love to get your letter, especially me. I don't even care if you wrote one to me specifically or not. But you didn't even write one...to any of us. I waited for your letter every single day as eagerly as Yamada-kun waited for Aya's to come. When Aya-chan's letter arrived I was happy cause I thought that yours will arrive soon as well, but what happened? It's already the last day for submission but there's still no letter from you"
"Hikaru-kun..."
"Seriously, it's been a week since at the concert you joined your friends in reminding fans to write letters and yet you yourself don't write one. ...are you a hypocrite or something?"
Sayuri was stunned into silence, then, "I wanted to...honestly...I wanted to send one...but I just couldn't....send one..." and her eyes welled up with tears. She looked down so that Hikaru wouldn't see her weak side.
"DONT MAKE EXCUSES! THEY DONT WORK ON ME!!!" Hikaru was frustrated that his eyes were hooked onto this kind of person.
Sayuri leapt from the windowsill and ran out the door, only to be stopped by Aya's embrace. Aya hugged her friend tight and allowed her to cry on her shoulder, whispering soothing words in her ears, "Sayu-chan, it's ok, everything's gonna be alright"
"No Aya... it won't be alright…it won’t be!" Sayuri cried.
When Sayuri had calmed down a bit, Aya led Sayuri back to the classroom to face Hikaru, "Sayuri has a good reason why she couldn't send her letter. I think it's only fair that you hear her out"
Hikaru only replied with, "I gotta go back to attend that meeting, dammit"
However, Aya stopped him, "I can talk to Yabu-kun if you want, but you will not go until you hear her out. I'm not only on her side cause she's my best friend. I think it's only fair. And no, I don't care if I make you late, if that's what you're thinking"
"Fine, just hurry. I wanna leave now"
Aya looked at Sayuri, but Sayuri just couldn't utter a sound, "Sayu-chan.....just tell him the reason..."
When Sayuri shook her head, Aya asked, "You want me to tell then?"
Sayuri made no response. Then, Aya turned to Hikaru and explained, "There's a very good reason why she couldn't send the letter. She wanted to, but at first she was busy with her project. Then, when she was gonna write, Shoon made her promise she wouldn't. He didn't see any point in writing letters when she could just email you. She tried calling you multiple times, but apparently you never picked up. She wanted to say all this, but she didn't know how..." Hikaru looked up at Aya, who continued, "Can you be considerate to her, or are you too selfish?"
Hikaru went on defensive when he heard the question, "Can I go now?"
"If you want" and Hikaru left to attend the meeting. There were only ten minutes until it started.
Aya stared at Hikaru, who seemed not to care about the situation, then at Sayuri and comforted her, "Gomen, Sayu-chan. I tried my best"
Sayuri took a moment before thanking her best friend for helping her.
At JE, JUMP's meeting room
"Dammit, where did Hikaru go? The meeting's gonna start in five minutes!" Yabu was pacing back and forth, doubting his trust for Hikaru. "Maybe I shouldn't have trusted him alone at Hitomi Gakuen. Maybe I should've made him come back with us"
"Don't get too anxious Yabu-kun, he'll be here, he's not the type who will sneak out to see someone right, Yamada-kun?" Yuya teased, making Yamada give him the look, "meanie, I was just joking"
Then, Hikaru burst through the doors and sat down without a single word, "Yeah, meeting... Start now"
Yamada, pretty aware of what happened, sat down next to Hikaru smilingly while Chinen and Yuto sat next to him.
"Hikaru-kun, I have something for youu" Yamada said in a sing-song tone.
Hikaru glared at him, thinking that Yamada was teasing him, "Unless you wanna get a taste of what'll happen to you if you don't shut up and leave me alone, I suggest you go find someone else to bother"
Yamada decided to give up, "Just see me after the meeting"
While that happened, Yabu looked curiously at Hikaru asking him, "Did something happen?"
Hikaru looked at the leader, "Meeting? I thought it's gonna start now?"
Yabu shook his head, then started the meeting.
After the meeting, Yamada found Hikaru in the dressing room packing up, "Hikaru-kun!!"
Hikaru didn't respond, "Go find someone else to bother, I swear!"
"Hikaru-kun, just look up, see what I have in my hand...from Yamashita Sayuri"
Hikaru stopped packing and Yamada took the chance to open the letter. However, before he could do so, Hikaru had already snatched the letter out of his hand, "Gimme that!"
Hikaru quickly opened the letter and tried to read it, but Yamada was there trying to pretend he knew what the letter was about, "Dear Hikaru-kun, this is Sayuri. Let's hang out some-"
"Urusee yo!" Hikaru folded the letter back up and decided to read the letter back at home.
Yamada yelled behind Hikaru, "Just bring it back tomorrow, we gotta evaluate!"
Hikaru was just outside the building, with a note to Yabu for a bathroom break, Hikaru called Sayuri. Ring...Ring...Ring. Then, he got to the voicemail, "Hey Saya-chan, this is Hikaru... Gomen...about earlier... and not believing you or letting you talk... I was just upset... but I guess I should know the story before I do, huh (laughs)... I hope you're able to forgive me... I hope...you will call me back ne"
Back at the Yamashitas, Sayuri was with Aya in her room. They listened to every single word of Hikaru's message.
Aya smiled at Sayuri, "There you go, you're forgiven…are you gonna call him back?"
Sayuri slightly shook her head, "Maybe later or tomorrow, I don't have the courage to talk to him yet"
"It's your choice," then Aya suddenly looked at Sayuri's phone, "AH! Yaotome-kun's calling again!"
Sayuri quickly picked her phone up and saw that no one was actually calling. She looked at Aya who was currently trying to stop herself from bursting into laugher, "Aya...."
Then Aya finally laughed out loud, "Gomen Sayu-chan... Damn that was priceless. I wish you could see the look on your face"
Seeing Sayuri's hurt look, Aya added, "Sayu-chan... that just shows how much you still care for him...call him back sometime later, okay?"
Hikaru reached back home and reopened the letter. On it,
Dear Hikaru-kun,
Sorry about never writing until now. I hope you can forgive me. I will never betray JUMP, I promise.
Then, the letter continued on... one page turned into two...
Just then, Hikaru remembered that Sayuri said she couldn't write...he checked the signature to see if it really was her, or was it Aya. Seeing that the signature was real, that even her best friend couldn't forge it, Hikaru relaxed. Saya-chan really wrote a letter...I hope she gets back to me on that call...
A/N: UWAAA will Sayuri and Hikaru's problem be solved? O_O
