Part 19
Just background info: Yabu, 16, first year in high school, 175cm; Hikaru, 15, third year in junior high, 165cm; Taiyou, 15, third year in junior high, 186cm; Shoon, 17 second year in high school, 169cm; Sayuko, 15, third year in junior high, 172.5cm.
It has been another seven months and I had been in the jimusho for 20 months. I had gotten used to the lifestyle of being a junior – as Iwata Shingo, my third identity (mayo notes: the others being Iwata Sayuri and Summer). I had gotten closer to NEWS, KAT-TUN, Tackey and Tsubasa, Arashi, and other juniors as well. In the media, I was still Iwata Shingo and I finally didn’t mind. I enjoyed being on TV shows, performances, dramas, concerts and the like with my best friends, also known as Yamashita Shoon, Yabu Kota, Yaotome Hikaru, and Ayukawa Taiyou. The Ya-Ya-yah show was also fun – from pranking Koyama and Tegoshi to having random quizzes and things like Otoko no Juku and Onigokko.
One August afternoon near the end of summer break, we were watching TV at Shoon’s house. We were waiting until the time to go eat dinner right below the karaoke place we’re going to sing at tonight. At first, when a person’s stomach started grumbling, everyone laughed and made fun of the person, saying how weak he was for getting so hungry so easily. After everyone’s stomachs started grumbling, though, we all stopped with the teasing and watched the movie in silence.
“Ne, what time is it now?” Yabu asked, not moving at all.
I looked at my watch, “4:59pm”
“One more minute, ne”
“Un”
“I’m so hungry” Taiyou commented
“Shut up, everyone is” Hikaru responded.
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-0 Everyone jumped from the sofa simultaneously and raced to the front door. Taiyou and I quickly put on our shoes, “Taiyou, let me go first, ladies first remember?”
“Not when –” Shoon caught up aand helped push me forward so he can get through “– a 15-year-old is hungry”
“Ba~ka, I’m 15 too” and I started running as fast as I could on an empty stomach toward the destination. Taiyou and Shoon also got through the door and were running to try to catch up to me. Luckily for me, all the lights were green when I got to the intersection and it took them awhile longer to do so.
Meanwhile, Hikaru looked at Yabu, “Ne, let’s go through the shortcut” and Yabu agreed.
I suddenly stopped running and began staring at something, making the catch up to me. Oh, the necklace is only too beautiful.
“Doushita no, Sayuko?” Taiyou asked me, hoping I was alright.
I looked at him and broke into a big smile, “Nan demo nai” and ran away, looking back once to see if he was right behind me and if I needed to run faster. When I looked back, Taiyou took iit as an invitation to chase after me.
Shoon, on the other hand, was looking at the very necklace that caught my eye. When he saw that both of us was out of the view, he went up to the window to check out the necklace and the price. He momentarily forgot about his hunger. Man, she’s so good to be able to spot something as beautiful as this from a distance while running so fast. Then, Shoon jumped as someone laid a hand on his shoulder, “Daijoubu, Shoon?” He turned around to see Hikaru and Yabu holding Kayla’s hands. (mayo comments: wow, dating for so long at this age is so rare! Good job, Yabu and Kayla xD Shoon and Sayuko hasn’t even started dating yet and look how long ago Johnny approved of them two being together!) He looked at Kaykla and Yabu saw that so he said, “I asked her to come along since Sayu-chan will like her presence at karaoke”
“UWA~! This necklace is so pretty, Shoon you have such good taste!” Hikaru exclaimed from behind them
“Sayuko spotted it”
“UWA~! Sayuko has such good taste!” he repeated.
“Un”
“Jyaa, dou suru, Shoon?”
“I’m gonna buy it for her”
The clerk had been closely watching them since they had been in front of the window for so long. “May I help you?”
Before anyone could say anything, Hikaru said, “We’re just checking out this cool necklace, since the girl he likes want it” pointing to Shoon, making the poor boy blush.
“Ah, and who is this lucky girl?”
“Her name is Iwata Sayuko…”
“MIKI~!” Kayla shouted suddenly
“Kayla, you’re here too?” Then looking at the boys, Miki the clerk said, “Come in.” The boys and Kayla followed her. Miki went to the storage room and a minute later, came out with a box, “This is what you want deshou?” opening the box. Indeed, it was and the boys nodded.
Miki then took out wrapping paper and quickly wrapped it for them.
“And how much is it?” Shoon asked, getting out his wallet
“It costs nothing but friendship” Miki smiled, “Oh, and make sure to give it to her properly”
“No, seriously, how much is it?”
“Oh, I’m serious” and she shooed them out, knowing that they were going to karaoke with me. Because they took the shortcut, they only arrived minutes after Taiyou and me.
A/N: [IMPORTANT AND NOT A SPOILER] Since I've already written the next part, I should tell you. This is what you need to know (will also be posted again when the time comes): I've decided to include something called "One time only - into [character]'s thoughts-" where readers can see what's going on inside the character's thoughts. This will be included from time to time; I hope this will help you understand why the characters do what they do more. I have only one disclaimer: I wanted it to be special, thus the "one time only" thing. However, I realized I might have more of these moments for some characters, so I've decided to keep the section name and just have this from time to time. Gomen ne, so confusing - guess that's how I am. >.< Also, whoever's thoughts we're going into, that's who will be narrating in the section; everything will be in first person.

bias! BIAS!!i still love him XD and i cant wait for him to give her the necklace and give a PROPER confession!!i think i squeal like a fangirl whenever the image of Ya-Ya-Yah Yabu dating pops into my head. its seriously just a cute overload!!
and Hika-chan is just adorable. i dont even think i need to go into this haha XD
the way you write the story is just the best! there is always some kind of twist...something new going on...unpredictable and its just ADDICTIVE~!
