Hana Kimi: Chapter 14
Here's the proposed order: Chinen, Takaki, Yabu, Keito, Daiki, Hikaru, Yuto or Inoo, Yamada, Ryutaro. This is because I'm going by commenting status, and the amount you comment throughout could change the order at any time
Chapter 14:
“Mai! I found it! Mai, over here! I found it!” Mai turned around to see Chinen sprinting over to her with the lavender bottle in his hand.
“Good job, now we can forgive you” Mai smiled and snatched the bottle from Chinen.
“Mai, can I ask you something?”
“Nani?”
“Why is this so special to Aya?” Aya, who was passing by, didn’t notice Chinen and Mai. However, her mutters were heard, “Where’s my vow? Where’s my vow?”
Chinen and Mai looked at her without saying a word. After Aya passed, Chinen asked, “Vow?”
“This thing. This bottle, has a message hidden in it. Look for yourself” She handed Chinen the bottle and watched. Chinen opened the bottle and took out the rolled-up paper. He unrolled it and found a pink heart around the message:
Yuuri + Aya
Forever
Signed: Hideki Aya and Chinen Yuuri
Chinen tilted his head up, closed his eyes and sighed.
-Flashback-
“Yuuri, Yuuri, can I have your autograph?” a four-year-old girl asked.
“Un, iiyo” the boy called Yuuri gladly accepted the paper and pen and signed his name, “demo, nande?”
“Cause you’re special” The girl smiled angelically at the boy, causing the boy to smile back. A pause, then the girl continued, “Ne, you love me right? We’ve been together since our Mama and Papa were kids, so we’ll be together forever right?”
“Mochiron, Aya you know you’ll always be my girl. We’ll get married when we get older” the boy said with confidence. She was the only girl he has ever been close with. She was his best friend.
“Then sign this with me. We’ll vow to marry each other, so we’ll never forget” They took turns writing the message together.
That night, Aya put the message rolled up in a small box and put it out of reach with other things. The next day, she transferred the message from the box to a bottle her mother just gave her for her birthday.
-End Flashback-
Chinen opened his eyes and found Aya staring at him and Mai nowhere in sight.
“Chinen-kun, daijoubu?” Aya was wide-eyed and kept staring at him.
“Aya, call me Yuuri”
Aya was taken aback by the request, “Eh?”
“Call me Yuuri; that’s what you’ve been calling me ever since we were born, right? Dakara, don’t call me Chinen-kun anymore. You’re the girl who’s stolen my heart long ago, and that girl has to call me Yuuri” Aya smiled, and Chinen added, “Cause she’s special” Chinen raised his hand that held the message in front of him, “Don’t you remember our vow?” He smiled, and Aya rushed over into his open arms.
“Ne, love-birds! Time for class!” Mai shouted, happy that her plan had worked.
Chinen and Aya looked toward Mai, and found that the whole school was looking at them. They blushed, and walked hand in hand to class.
“Mai, you wouldn’t mind being in the same group as us for the scavenger hunt, would you?” Aya asked
Mai smiled, “How could I say no to a friend?” and walked beside Aya to class.
“Haha, this is fun, Couple number one at nii-chan’s school: Chinen-kun and Aya-nee” Nami noted as she pulled out her notebook.
During class
Aya kept staring at Chinen, wondering what to do about him. He was sitting sloppily in his seat, head on his arms, which was folded on the desk. Someone accidentally bumped into him and his arm was knocked out of sync and dangling at the side of his desk. Then, suddenly a piece of crumpled up paper hit Chinen on the head, waking him up. He sat up straight and with eyes still half closed, he said, “Mt Fuji is the tallest” The teacher looked at him, “Yes, Chinen-kun. Mt Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan. Quite gorgeous too, have you been to it before?”
Chinen, still asleep, said, “I want to but I can’t”
The teacher replied, “Why can’t you?”
“I just can’t”
“Okay, anyway, moving on”
Aya looked at the direction the paper ball came from and realized Mai was the one who threw it. Behind Chinen, who fell back on his desk, Takaki and Ayana were using a flexible pole/stick to poke him. They were muffling their laughter at his unresponsiveness, trying not to disturb the class.
A/N: Mai, gomen! >.< But you're happy that Aya and Chinen are together and you're still best friends with Chinen! Is that okay? Are you hurt?! O_O
