Summary: JUMP the most popular boy band in japan and probably even in the whole world. Girls all over the world are dying to see, touch and talk to them. Suddenly the group decided to search for the girl that they will love, but how will they find them?
Yamada arrived at Aya’s house ten minutes after she called. He rang the doorbell and Aya immediately opened it for him.
“Yamada-kun…” she was still crying.
Yamada invited himself in and embraced the girl immediately after the door was closed, “Just cry it out… everything will be just fine” Yamada comforted the girl, patting her back.
Aya shook her head in between tears, “No it won’t…I hurt him so bad…”
“Who’s him?”
“Jin…I broke up with him”
“Eh?! But he seemed like a very nice guy…and he loves you a lot”
“I know…but I had to choose”
“Choose?”
“Un…” Aya nodded within the embrace, “between Jin and Chinen-kun”
“And you chose Chii?”
“I did…I don’t know why, but…I can’t love Jin the same way I love Chinen-kun” Aya cried more, “I tried to love Jin, but I just see him as an onii-chan figure. Yamada-kun… I don’t think anyone can really make me love them in the same way as much as I love Chinen-kun”
Yamada tightened his embrace with Aya and though, “I will Aya-chan… I will…”
It was the fourth day that the letters could be sent. Sayuri didn’t have time to write but when she did...
“Saya, there is no point in sending them letters if you already have their email. Just email them, it’s much faster anyway” Shoon reasoned.
“How would you know there’s no point? Besides I’m a fan, I want to contact them as a fan”
“Saya, promise me you won’t ever send them letters. Just cause toosan and kaasan are out doesn’t mean you can do anything you want. What if they like your letters so much that they each write five letters a day? There’s this thing called Saya’s the writer of our class, you know?”
“Shoon, stop being ridiculous! That isnt even possible! Yamada-kun and Chinen-kun would write to Aya, if anything. Besides, Jin allowed Aya to send them a letter; why can’t you let me do the same? Their bond isn’t as strong as ours; you know how strong our bond is, even for twins”
“Saya-nee, yamete, nii-chan means well” Reon butt in, anxious to talk with Rhea
Sayuri glared at Reon, who pouted for a little while before busying himself with texting Rhea. He wasn’t particularly fond of being stuck in a conflict between his twin siblings, but he couldn’t help it when Shoon ordered him to be there.
“Saya, promise me you won’t send any letters” Shoon repeated
“No Shoon, I want to write. Besides, why should you care? It’s not like it’s for anything life-changing, it’s just a guilty pleasure!”
“Yamashita Sayuri, promise me” Shoon insisted
Sayuri looked down and wouldn’t speak. Shoon waited, and Reon selfishly added, “Saya-nee, I’m meeting Rhea in one hour”
Still, Sayuri wouldn’t talk, then after about five minutes, “I promise…” was barely audible.
When her brothers were out, Reon finding Rhea, Sayuri laid on her bed, not sure what to do.
Sayuri tried to reach Hikaru that day, calling him many times, but he wouldn’t pick up. Every time, she left a message hoping he would get back to her, but he never did.
For the next three days, Sayuri busied herself with a project that she had to present the day before the letter deadline was. She also went to the doctor a couple times cause the doctor told her she could walk well without crutches, so he told Sayuri to try walking without them a bit more each day. When Aya and the others talked about the letter during lunch, Sayuri excused herself, saying she needed to work on the project or practice walking again without crutches or something, making her unable to enjoy lunch with her friends. Aya thought Sayuri was being weird, but she just kept quiet and kept on observing her friend.
The day she successfully presented, everyone congratulated Sayuri on her presentation, but Aya still knew that Sayuri was sad. She was 85% sure what is making her sad, but she decided to continue observing. One day, Aya called Sayuri up to the rooftop.
“Aya…is something wrong?”
“Not with me…”
“Eh?”
“Sayu-chan, you’ve been sad these few days, what’s wrong?”
Sayuri paused and looked down, “Betsuni…”
“Don’t betsuni me, I know something is wrong and I want to know what it is”
A pause, then, “Hikaru-kun, he won’t return my calls…” Sayuri looked up at her friend, and Aya could see through her eyes that she was still hiding something.
“Oh, well I’ll ask Yamada-kun what’s up with Hikaru-kun” She turned to leave. When Aya was sure that no one was there, she took out her phone and called Yamada, “Yamada-kun, un…it’s me Aya…”
“Doushita no? Is there a problem?”
“How’s Yaotome-kun these days?” Aya asked.
“Well he’s pretty depressed cause Sayuri hasn’t written”
“Sokka…thanks” Aya ended the call and went back to the rooftop pretending she forgot something, “By the way, before I forget about this, Izu wants your autograph… she’s too shy to approach you yet, but she really wants your autograph…she heard about the presentation… sign this” She miraculously took out a piece of paper and a pen, now positive that she had been right all along
Sayuri looked at Aya, then signed her name on the piece of paper. Aya smiled at her and excused herself to leave. That night, Aya put all her attention to writing Sayuri’s letter knowing the reason behind her not writing. While writing, her phone rang. She looked at the screen and saw “Tat-chan” on it. She answered, “Moshi moshi, Tat-chan?”
“Aya, where are you?” there was so much noise that Aya couldn’t clearly hear what Ueda said.
“Nani? Why is it so noisy over there? I can’t hear you”
“I’m in a club with Jin...he’s pretty drunk you know… I don’t know what to do and since he kept on calling your name, I decided to call you and see what’s up” Ueda’s voice was louder than before so that Aya could hear him.
“WHAT?! Can you manage to bring him to his house?” Aya asked
“Sure”
“Ok, I’ll meet you there” Aya took her pen and paper and placed it in her back, thinking that she can continue writing later. Aya ran to Jin’s apartment. She had the spare key Jin gave her. Aya quickly went to the kitchen and filled a basin with water. She looked around and grabbed a towel when she found one.
A few minutes later, Ueda arrived with a drunken Jin who can’t even stand on his own.
“Take him to his room” Aya requested to Ueda
Ueda laid Jin on his bed and took off Jin’s shirt. Aya sat on the bed beside Jin and started wiping his body with the wet towel.
“Aya…did something happen?” Ueda asked with curiosity.
“Did he say anything to you?”
“He kept crying and saying that he felt so useless”
“Jitsu wa…” Aya stopped wiping, “I broke up with him three days ago”
“EH?! D-demo…Aya, everyone knows you are his life”
“I know! But I have to! I know my reason is very selfish but I really have to!” Aya insisted, “He even told me he’ll be fine and be happy…”
“Don’t you even feel guilty?”
“Of course I do…it’s so hard for me to see him like this…but if he’s gonna be like this then I have to be strong in front of him” Aya continued on what she was doing.
The next day, as she was leaving for school, Sayuri's phone rang so she picked up her phone, “Moshi moshi?”
“Sayu-chan, this is Aya”
“Un, doshita no?”
“Can you tell the teachers that I wont be at school today?”
“Eh, nande?”
“Um….something came up”
“Ah, sokka, well I’ll just tell them today before class ne”
“Hai, arigatou”
“Jyaa, I gotta leave now” and the girls hung up.
At school, Gisselle and Seru walked up to Sayuri, who was currently talking to their teachers. They were wondering where Aya is, “Ne, Sayu-chan, did something happen to Aya-chan?”
“Um…something came up…I think it was a headache?”
After worrying about Aya the whole school day causing her not able to focus, Sayuri decided to stop by Aya’s house. When she got there, she waited five minutes but no one came to get the door. Sayuri picked up her phone and dialed her best friend.
“Moshi moshi, Sayu-chan?”
“Un, where are you right now?”
“I’m at Jin’s house, nande?”
“I’ll talk to you there” Sayuri hung up and ran to Jin’s house.
Ueda opened the door, “Hey Sayu-chan, what brings you here?”
“Eh, Ueda-sempai! You’re here too?” Ueda nodded and moved aside to let Sayuri in.
“Sayu-chan, what’s wrong?” Aya came down the stairs to see her friend talking with Ueda. Upstairs, Aya knew that it was probably Sayuri who had arrived so she quickly finished the letter, sealed it in an envelope, and put it back in her purse to mail when she goes home.
“Why are you at his house?”
“Oh, he got drunk and Tat-chan brought him here and I decided to skip school today to take care of him” Aya tried her best to maintain a face so that Sayuri wouldn’t know she’s hiding something.
Sayuri stared at her, trying to see whether or not she’s hiding something, but since she couldn’t see anything from Aya’s facial expression, she wished Jin to recover soon and left to go home.
